Who Am I?

My name is Yezenia Olivera and I welcome you to my website! To give you a little bit of context on me, I am an MBA Candidate and hold a Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. As a First-Generation College student, I didn’t grow up with a lot of help from others. You see, my parents migrated from Mexico along with my three older siblings. As we grew up in a low-income neighborhood, we were exposed to a lot of things, but mainly how to survive. Education was definitely not a priority. Therefore, when I was able to get to college, I tried to find a way to make an impact with my survival mindset.

This led me to learning more about the Triple Bottom Line theory and it’s impact on the business world. I knew this was my calling!

The world we live in runs off of capital. Therefore, being able to focus on the goals of our economy while also focusing on social impacts and environmental impacts can help us commit to making a better tomorrow. And with being Latina, social justices adds to my reasoning for focusing on this.

My goal is continue to educate others and share ways we all can make a difference. Just know, you’re going to see a lot of sustainable fashion, personal care and BIPOC things that are changing this world! Look around and stay involved! Together, I’m sure we can make the world a better place.
